The first task facing us as we returned to the field from our furlough has been trying to make our house safe. After the Carter's house burned down, they were living in our house and then WE also had a small fire. You can see to the left what remained of our breakers. Thanks to the generous and swift response of our sponsoring church, the Homewood Church of Christ, we were able to repair our electrical system and install a better system with things like appropriate load wire to large appliances (ooooh) and grounded plugs throughout the house (aaaah)!
