We know what it is now
Thank you to all of you who wrote us and to all of you who are praying for us. Andrea and I have spent the last couple of days in Ouaga. She is not having any more sharp pains, but she is still sore from the 8 straight hours of pain she experienced a few nights ago. We have had a number of tests done. However, the most conclusive test came this afternoon. Dr. Zoungrana ordered a sonogram on Andrea's gall bladder. We discoverd she has some twenty odd gall stones. One of them measured to be 6mm in diameter. Also, the wall of her gall bladder is thicker than it should be. The vascular surgeon, Dr. Bakoungou, recomends that she have her gall bladder removed. He is able to do laproscopic surgurey (the kind with tiny incisions and cameras). We want to contact our doctors in the States to make sure this is the procedure they would also recommend. Please pray for us as we absorb this information and make a decision. Praise God that we have discovered what was causing Andrea's pain. Also please pray for safety and freedom from further bouts with pain while we are making our decision and waiting for whatever procedure needs to be done.

Andrea having stomach pains
Andrea has been having severe stomach pain. The past three days she has had a sharp pain in her upper right abdomen. Each day it has lasted longer. Last night it lasted from 11pm to 7am this morning. We're not sure what is causing it. We are now on our way to the capital city, Ouagadougou, to see an Ob/Gyn. Please pray for protection from the pain coming back and for a safe and fruitful trip to Ouaga. We will update you as soon as we have more information.
